Lisa Marie Blaschke

Lisa Marie Blaschke is program director of the Master of Distance Education and E-Learning (MDE) program at Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany and a professor within the MDE at the University of Maryland University College, USA, where she received the university’s 2016 Stanley J. Drazek Teaching Excellence Award. Lisa is a vice-president and executive committee member of the European Distance Education and E-Learning Network (EDEN) and an EDEN Fellow. Prior to academia, Lisa worked in management for an international software company. Her research interests are in lifelong and self-determined learning (heutagogy) and using technology to support learner-centered education.
